Scholarship Opportunities

Applications for Spring 2026 are OPEN! Due March 6, 2026

To apply for the Minnie Andow CalTeach Scholarship, the recipient must:

  • Be a full-time student enrolled in either of the Natural Sciences Education minors at the University of California, Merced;
  • Demonstrate financial need according to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or a CA Dream Act Application;
  • Have junior or senior-level standing and a minimum GPA of 2.80; and
  • Demonstrate a commitment to education, hold high academic standards and exhibit qualities of creativity, innovation, and leadership

AWARD: The Minnie Andow CalTeach Scholars will receive a one-time award of $1,000.

 

To apply for the Minnie Andow CalTeach Early Career Scholarship, the recipient must:

  • Be CalTeach alumni from the University of California, Merced
  • Possess a preliminary multiple, single subject or education specialist credential;
  • Be currently under contract teaching at a school in California; and
  • Demonstrate a commitment to education, hold high academic standards and exhibit qualities of creativity, innovation, and leadership

AWARD: The Minnie Andow CalTeach Early Career Scholars will each receive a one-time award of $1,000 to be used for classroom supplies for their current teaching position.
