Alyssa Cabrera

My name is Alyssa Cabrera and I am a fourth-year student, majoring in both Global Arts Studies & Psychology at UC Merced. I am especially interested in education because I take pride in guiding the youth to pursue their goals/aspirations. I quote that I like to live by, is: “Empower yourself by empowering others.” - Martin Dai Nguyen

Danielle Gaspar

My name is Danielle Gaspar (she/hers) and I am a third-year Economics and Natural Science Education Minor at UC Merced. I have found a passion to pursue a career in education because I want to be the representation my classrooms lacked growing up. I am driven to growing and developing my skills in this field of work because I remind myself daily of Yuri Kochiyamas words, "Consciousness is power.     Consciousness is education and knowledge. Consciousness is becoming aware. It is the perfect vehicle for students"
