2023 Bobcat Summer STEM Academy

Past BSA 2023 Information:

Bobcat Summer STEM Academy is a series of weekly workshops for middle and high school students at the UC Merced campus. BSA workshops are created by UC Merced faculty, postdocs, research scientists, students, and staff. Workshops are designed to give students one of a kind, hands-on STEM experiences.

Bobcat Summer STEM Academy runs from June 12th, 2023 – July 28th, 2023. Workshops are in-person, Monday – Friday,  from 9am – 4pm.  Drop-off begins at 8:30am and pick-up is from 3:30pm-4pm. Lunch and snacks are provided, please have your students bring a reuseable water bottle. Spots are limited to 24 students per workshop.


The price is as follows:

$125 for 1 week academy

$50 for 2 day academy

1. Middle & High School STEM Academies

  • Week-long (Monday- Friday) academies on campus from 9am-4pm
  • 2 day (various days) academies on campus from 9am-4pm
  • Open to middle school (6th-8th) and high school students (9th-12th)
  • Spots are limited to 24 students per workshop

  • The price is $125 per workshop (lunch and snacks are provided)

2. Elementary STEM Academy

  • Week-long (Monday-Friday academy on campus from 9am-4pm
  • Open to 1st - 6th grade students
  • Spots are limited to 24 students per workshop

  • The price is $50 (2-day academy) or $125 (1-week academy) per workshop (lunch and snacks are provided)

CalTeach has a small scholarship fund available for low-income families. If you are interested in registering your student for a workshop but struggling financially you can apply for our scholarship program HERE. Qualifying students are eligible for a scholarship to cover the cost of one academy.
